DESCRIPTION

Everyone faces ethical decisions every day. We need to recognize ethical challenges whenever and wherever we
encounter them. And if we do not recognize an ethical challenge when we face one, we might not make an ethical
response. What is ethics? What does it mean to be ethical? What is the difference between ethics and compliance?
And what does ethics have to do with business, specifically the insurance and risk management business? These
questions and others regarding ethics will be examined in this online course. The course should take a student
approximately four hours to complete.

Examples of compliance activities required of insurance practioners.
The benefits of acting ethically.
How ethical actions impact on business.
The difference between ethics and morals.
Universally accepted ethical principles.
