The Insurance Society of Philadelphia’s Independence Gala is the premier fundraising and networking event celebrating the Philadelphia insurance and risk management industry, our local community and the leaders and organizations who embody its highest ideals and to continue our legacy of excellence in leadership, and dedication to career development and investing in the next generation of insurance professionals.

Gala proceeds benefit the Insurance Society’s 100th Anniversary Scholarship Fund by providing scholarships to local risk management and insurance students to help educate the next generation of industry professionals.
The Independence Gala funds ISOPs undergraduate scholarship and continuing education grants program awarding approximately $100,000 each calendar year to those about to enter the profession, or those already working at a member company pursuing a related advanced degree.
The Independence Gala is also a platform to honor a key contributor in the insurance community by granting the Distinguished Leader Award. The Award recognizes one who demonstrates exemplary leadership, has promoted the stature of the insurance and associated industries in the community, and global marketplace, and who has provided ongoing support to community events and charitable enterprises.
